Capital Courier Services is seeking reliable, motivated, and self-disciplined Lead Couriers to represent our company with professionalism and consistency.

This is a leadership-based independent contractor role serving as the direct standard-bearer of efficiency for our hospital and laboratory clients, including:

The American Red Cross (Douglasville Distribution Center)

Piedmont Hospital (Atlanta and surrounding campuses)

Skin Path Solutions (Smyrna, GA)

Veterans Administration (Decatur, GA)

Northwest Georgia Oncology Centers (Marietta, GA)

As a Lead Courier, you are an ambassador of Capital Courier Services that will be responsible for maintaining standards of precision, communication, and customer care while ensuring time-sensitive deliveries are handled with full accountability.

CURRENT OPENINGS

We currently have 4 openings for Lead Couriers and 5 openings for SRT Cover Couriers.

Availability Cycles:

Overnight / Morning Coverage: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Late Morning / Afternoon Coverage: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Late Afternoon / Overnight Coverage: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

POSITION DETAILS

Title: Lead Independent Courier / Driver

Primary Client: The American Red Cross Distribution

Service Area: Georgia (based out of Douglasville, GA)

Start Date: Immediate

SCHEDULE & EXPECTATIONS

Lead Couriers are expected to be responsive, dependable, and available during assigned coverage hours.

This includes working across morning, evening, and overnight routes when needed to maintain service consistency.

You will represent the standard of reliability across all clients — stepping in when others are unavailable and ensuring no gaps in medical delivery service.

COMPENSATION

Mileage Rate (Cars/SUVs): $0.90 per mile (STAT / ASAP On-Call)

Mileage Rate (Cargo Vans): $1.00 per mile (for designated routes with van access)

Lead Stipend: $50 per day (for confirmed on-call availability)

Additional Pay: Flat-rate options available depending on client routes

The $50 stipend is paid for confirmed coverage availability — not per order. Failure to be available during assigned hours forfeits that day’s stipend.

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid driver’s license (required — no exceptions)

Reliable, insured vehicle (SUV, crossover, or cargo van preferred)

Smartphone with GPS and data capability

Professional communication and accountability

Dependable, honest, and consistent follow-through

Must be available during assigned coverage windows and respond promptly to dispatch

NOT ACCEPTABLE / DISQUALIFYING CONDITIONS

To maintain our standard of service, Capital Courier Services will not accept:

Applicants without a valid driver’s license or active insurance

Couriers who fail to communicate with Dispatch in a timely manner

Repeated tardiness, missed routes, or ignored calls/texts from dispatch

Lack of professionalism, improper attire, or absence of ID at client locations

Mishandling of time-sensitive or chain-of-custody deliveries

Misrepresentation of vehicle type, capacity, or route experience
